When the customers have higher requirements for the wear resistance of the PCBN inserts, the longer tool life and the better surface finish, the coating for the CBN inserts is one

good choice.

At present, we mainly supply 2 types coatings: Yellow Color and Grey Color.

When machining the cast iron and hardened steel, the tool life of the coated pcbn inserts could improve about 20%-50%.

The purpose of the coating is not to increase the hardness. The PVD coating of the CBN insert improves the life by increasing the heat resistance. 

The CVD diamond coating of the alloy is to improve the wear resistance.
